Street Cat Companions Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Program

Street Cat Companions Feral Cat Spay/Neuter - Only $15

New Mexico Animal Friends' spay/neuter clinic for feral cats is held at Animal Humane | New Mexico, 615 Virginia St. SE.  Please check back for the date of our next clinic. Information and trap loans are available through Jayne Sage at 881-7297, option #3.  A trap deposit fee of $65 is requested and refunded when the trap is returned.

Animal Humane | New Mexico Feral Cat information hotline is 217-0300, option #5.

NMAF recommends using Tru-Catch Gravity Humane Traps.  Spring-loaded traps can cause severe injury.

Very small kittens do not weigh enough to "release" the trip plate in a medium sized trap.  Kittens should ONLY be trapped in the small traps.  Medium traps are suitable for adult cats only.  Kittens should be two months old or older and weigh at least two pounds before trapping to take to be spayed or neutered.

WARNING: Never touch a feral cat.  Wear a long-sleeved shirt or jacket and work gloves if you must get near or handle an untrapped feral cat.
