Osito

Osito is a charming little guy that was found living under a tree in northern NM, lost or abandoned. He was on the side of the road and when his rescuers stopped he ran under the barbed wire and into this tree where it appeared he had made his nest. If you look closely at the attached photo you can see him sitting.
He was named him Osito since he looks like a little bear from afar. He has a beautiful brindled coat and doesn’t seem to shed. We think he is a boxer/shepherd mix. Osito may have been a guard dog in the past as he tends to patrol the yard. He is best introduced to new people and new dogs very slowly as he can fall into his "guard dog" ways. We are unsure how he is around small children. He may not be one for the dog park. Given that, he gets along beautifully with the resident shepherd and husky at home. He is especially playful with the husky. He loves walks, runs, and hikes with his foster family. Osito is very sweet natured and enjoys cuddling. He doesn’t bark or chew up the house. He is crate trained and house trained and will happily use the doggie door. He would make a fine addition to a loving home. We estimate he was born in 2014.
