Tiggie (also called Tigger) is a sweet, friendly, brown tabby shorthair looking for a loving family. She loves to sleep with her foster person and rub her ankles. She was abandoned at a boarding facility along with her housemate, White Socks. They were initially thought to be a bonded pair, but when they had to be briefly separated, both adjusted nicely. They do get along well and can be adopted together, but it is not a requirement. Tigger has accomplished something few cats or humans manage. The boarding facility had lots of opportunity to eat and less for exercise. She became much larger than ideal! On her return to a home environment, she self-adjusted and regained her sleek figure. We do not know Tiggie's history with dogs, and there are none in her foster home. She seems curious rather than frightened. She met a large dog at the adoption clinic and marched up to him boldly. We were a little worried for the dog, but after coming within a foot of him, she sashayed off, her message of "I am not prey" successfully delivered.
Adoption Clinic Location: Petco - San Mateo & Academy, Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
