Princess Peach, fondly called “Peaches”, is the cutest little Princess ever! Wonderful things truly do come in small packages! Part of the same hoarding household that Princess Grace came from, Peaches found herself at Animal Humane in March 2017. She was the friend Princess Grace had been waiting for and the two dogs clung to each other not wanting anyone to approach. NMAF came to her rescue the same time as Princess Grace, and in the loving safety of foster care, she is revealing herself as a precocious, independent and affectionate little girl. Peaches, like Grace, can appear shy at first, but given soft care and patience, will soon warm to you and show you her amazing talents - she is a bossy ballerina!! Dancing on her hind legs when you approach, bossily telling you (with a single bark) that she wants her dinner NOW or to be picked up, who would believe this tiny Princess, at only 7 pounds, could have so much power? Now that she is settling into her new foster home, where she gets along with the other resident dogs just fine big or small, she keeps her own countenance much of the time, but enjoys a good snuggle with Princess Grace or sister Squirt from time to time. She likes curling up next to you to watch TV, but only if she wishes it - otherwise finding her own space to get comfortable. She loves to “perch” on the back of the couch to watch over her subjects (which includes her foster mom) eager to see what is going on in her realm, especially if new people come to visit. She is a good little eater, enjoying little delectables like chicken in her kibble, sleeping soundly in her crate all night and is liking her walks with the other dogs, though long distance hikes are probably not in her future unless there is a backpack involved. She is quite striking in her coloring, soft and sweet and would do best in a home without small children as she is so tiny. She could be fine as an only dog but would prefer someone with her during the day. Cats are an unknown but she could be tried in that scenario. Princess Peach is up to date on all shots, spayed, micrchipped, heartworm negative and on preventative. She will start attending NMAF Adoption Clinic Saturday May 13th so stop by and meet this precious little Princess!
